Some caves have already been recognized monuments in them 19 th century were open breweries, furnaces, or used as pub cellars.


One of the most famous caves Hole Mortimer, a length of 105 meters. Tunnel starts in Castle Rock (part of a medieval castle) and end at the brewhouse Yard, which was used by soldiers of King Edward III, to capture the Sir Roger de Mortimer.
