Altar of Zeus at Pergamum - one of the most remarkable monuments of the Hellenistic II century BC. Grand frieze girded plinth of the altar erected to commemorate the victory of Pergamum kingdom over the Gauls. On the frieze depicts the struggle of Olympic gods with the giants - children subsurface resources. Powerful body piled, woven like a tangle of snakes, fallen giants tear kosmatogrivye lions, dogs dig their teeth - the battle is terrible, she smokes with blood.
